L’ATELIER 1755 Event — Digital Voice Guide
To celebrate its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin opened L’ATELIER 1755 in Central’s historic Pedder Building, a limited-time space for exhibitions, expert talks and craft encounters. ViDe team was invited to design and program a digital voice guide that lets visitors explore the Maison’s history in their own time, at their own pace.
The experience sits quietly within the space, a touchscreen tablet set on a wooden table beside archive books and a vintage window. Visitors simply touch the screen to begin, with no instructions needed. Each tap opens a new chapter of the Maison’s story. Archival photographs and period imagery are organised by year, so guests can move through the decades with a swipe, from early Hong Kong streets and heritage buildings to the milestones that shaped the brand. Short text panels give context to every era.
Alongside the visuals, a voice narration guides visitors through each chapter, sharing brand stories and background in a calm, conversational tone. Eyes and hands stay on the screen while the history is told aloud, turning a quiet moment of browsing into a personal conversation with the Maison. The result is a seamless blend of heritage and technology: an interactive storytelling piece that is intuitive for the guest, effortless for the host, and in keeping with the refined character of L’ATELIER 1755.
